Our Trustees

Tammie Rafferty

Tammie Rafferty is the Founder and Director of Project Believe. Her daughter, Mary, is her inspiration and her hero.  They live an amazing life with their dog, Petey, in Tipp City, Ohio and can’t wait to see what happens next.

Sarah Howard

Sarah is a representative with American Family Insurance and is active in various local community groups. She is excited to be a part of Project Believe and hopes to make a difference in the lives of the children.

Minda Springer

A teacher at Dayton Children’s Childcare Center, Minda also volunteers at the Brukner Nature Center Rehab Facility and enjoys spending time with her son & five nieces & nephew. Minda is honored to be a trustee for Project Believe, leaving no child forgotten.

Brad Stapleton

Brad works at the Greenfire Bistro in Tipp City and volunteers at Tipp City and Troy Schools. He looks forward to improving Project Believe through efficiency and organization, allowing the board to reach more children with a higher degree of support.

Lindsay Woodruff

Lindsay is the owner of Pachamama Market, a Fair Trade store in Downtown Troy, Ohio. She holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and brings over 10 years of nonprofit experience to Project Believe. She lives in Tipp City with her crazy family, a dog, and a lizard.

Heather Burkey

Heather is a registered nurse with 20 years of experience. Her love of crochet and desire to help others led her to Project Believe. On weekends she can be found with her husband cheering on their boys at football games, basketball games and swim meets.

Tami Daniel

Tami is the Operations Manager for the Trapshooting Hall of Fame & Museum. As a newly recognized empty nester she feels motivated to be apart of Project Believe to support children that deserve love and comfort. Tami’s two grown children both attend the Ohio State University.

Lizz Mahar

Lizz is a nonprofit program manager and data geek. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and brings diverse nonprofit experience to Project Believe. Lizz is an adjunct faculty member at Wright State and enjoys spending time with her husband and rescue dogs.

Stacey Baker

Stacey is a Business Intelligence Analyst in the healthcare industry and holds an MBA in finance and international business. In her spare time, she enjoys film, reading, running, and the occasional margarita.
